Yates & Greenhough Division 1
Lodgers E remain bottom of the Yates & Greenhough Division 1 table following their 3-7 defeat to Penmaen B, although they are now only a point behind Penmaen D, having played a game less. Neil Snaith was on top form for Penmaen, winning his three, although he was taken the full distance by Colin Bell and David Kime. Roger Hooten also had two five-enders, against Colin and David, but had to be content with a solitary win against Steve Harker.

A.D.Dickinson Division 2
As the first half of the A.D.Dickinson Division 2 draws to a close, Christmas cheer came early to Belchford in the form of their first victory – and against promotion candidates Penmaen E.
Graves Park Nomads – ‘the predictables’ – recorded yet another 6-4 scoreline, their seventh in eight games, when they beat Lodgers D. Walt Bridges picked up two, beating Ian Gorrie in five close sets, and then beat Graham Bonsor in straight sets. Tris Clow continued his good run of form, winning his three in straight sets, only Tony Kime making him sweat, by taking two ends to deuce.
Pete Evans sliced through the Belchford team’s resistance when Penmaen E travelled into the Wolds, dropping only one end, to Brian Todd. James Wood and Jack Bittner found the going altogether tougher, losing their singles, although James was very unlucky to lose 13-11 in the fifth end to Peter Hughes. Pete and Jack then teamed up in the doubles to beat Brian and Peter Neap to add a degree of respectability to the scoreline.
8th ranked Simon Raistrick turned the form book on its head when Graves Park Nomads hosted Lodgers H, beating 5th ranked Tris Clow in four sets, and then beat Walt Bridges and Chips Davey for good measure. Boyd Smith worked hard to beat Chips, but then claimed a famous victory, beating Tris in five ends. Walt picked up two five-enders, against Gavin Read and Boyd to spearhead the Nomads’ resistance, the match ending all-square.
